Madrona is one of Seattle's best-kept secrets. A relaxed, small town, Madrona is located next to Madison Park and between Lake Washington and the Washington Park Arboretum, midway between State Route 520 and Interstate 90. Despite its location near Madison Park, Madrona is a much more diverse neighborhood-economically, ethnically, and architecturally.
Madrona is known as the 'peaceable kingdom' because it is so ethnically diverse and that is a source of pride for the community. Walk down 34th street and see all the local shops, or pack a lunch for a wonderful picnic at one of Madrona's parks. Grab your hiking shoes to enjoy Madrona's beautiful trails with breathtaking views of Lake Washington.
The housing in Madrona reflects its diversity. East Madrona, with its waterfront locale, is home to the higher end real estate, while West Madrona offers a mix of middle and lower priced houses.
During the 1990s, Madrona settled into its role as a neighborhood of views and green space, with a lakeside park, a small but flourishing business district, and convenient access to Seattle's downtown with all its amenities.
Median Prices; Homes $339,500
